"I will change to the better, I will be the one..I will never make you feel.."
Whenever someone tells you this, there are two things you got to do. Either slap them or slap yourself and walk away. Why? Here is where I will tell you why:
You like someone and you think they will change for you. Someone likes you and thinks you will change for them. In reality, no matter what you both think and how you both like each other. Change is not a one sentence act. I will change and you magically change. It comes after work, and work has to be done over time and time is not until the 'I will change' sentence ends.
Time is long hours a person thinking and applying what they have thought. Time is you analyzing their acts and seeing them change. Time is when they work and you notice. We fail at patience. We think/believe being together with the person we like will eventually make them change. This does work, only in our brains and dreams.
Reality, however, is different. Reality is a person feels safe you are with them and the idea of change? what was that again..
If a person is to change for you, you wait until they do. If you are not willing to wait for change, don't ask for it.

❝ I will encourage you when you're old ❞
I will encourage you when you are old - There are only certain things that I will encourage you when you are young, if you are studying, if you are reading, if you are writing but if you will come up with anything different when you are young. I will totally ignore it,make fun of it or even ask you not to do it.
This is not said but done. we almost forgot the power of encouraging young people at a young age and instead encourage them when they are old. A lot of young people are interested in sports, arts, music but we do not find these activities as important as studying which is what is important to them as education is.
Ever thought how young people spend their vacations? they spend it online, on facebook, on twitter. Ever thought how young people would spend their vacations if they were encouraged? they would spend it playing a sport, working on an art material, playing music. If these activities are seen as distractions to young people during their education time, you may not be acknowledged with how much time young people spend online doing not more than nothing everyday and every hour and during their education time.
Young people like to have the support to what they like besides what they do not. We encourage them for their studies and tell them because we care. They do not see this care and should not see it because they do not find this care towards what they like. so next time you ask a young person not to 'waste their time' in these activities think on what they would choose as an alternative to these activities.
