"I will change to the better, I will be the one..I will never make you feel.."
Whenever someone tells you this, there are two things you got to do. Either slap them or slap yourself and walk away. Why? Here is where I will tell you why:
You like someone and you think they will change for you. Someone likes you and thinks you will change for them. In reality, no matter what you both think and how you both like each other. Change is not a one sentence act. I will change and you magically change. It comes after work, and work has to be done over time and time is not until the 'I will change' sentence ends.
Time is long hours a person thinking and applying what they have thought. Time is you analyzing their acts and seeing them change. Time is when they work and you notice. We fail at patience. We think/believe being together with the person we like will eventually make them change. This does work, only in our brains and dreams.
Reality, however, is different. Reality is a person feels safe you are with them and the idea of change? what was that again..
If a person is to change for you, you wait until they do. If you are not willing to wait for change, don't ask for it.
